5 Tips To Help You Choose A Wedding Videographer
1. Make sure you get along with them.
You’ll be spending a large part of your wedding day alongside your videographer, so you better hope you like them! From the very first moment you reach out to a potential videographer, try to suss out if they fit your vibe. It’s a great idea to follow this up with an in person meet up or jump on a zoom call to make sure you have a genuine connection with them before you decide to lock things in.
2. Love their videos.
Sounds pretty obvious, but it’s an important one! Go through their previous videos to see if their work has a similar style to what you’re looking for with your own video. Whilst every couple is different, so is every videographer, so watching a bunch of their videos will give you a good idea of what you might expect.
3. Check reviews.
It doesn’t matter if they make great videos, it won’t be worth it if they are awful to deal with in person. Jump over to google to suss out reviews left by previous couples. This is a great way to see what other people have to say, rather than just taking the videographers word for it.
4. Understand what’s included.
Each videographer has different packages & inclusions. Make sure you have a clear understanding of what you’re looking for and what you’re willing to pay . For instance, some videographers look like a great deal at first glance, but may have limited hours of coverage unless you pay extra on top. This also applies to the deliverables that you’re after i.e. highlight film, ceremony film, speeches film, extended raw cut.
5. Don’t base your decision on price alone.
After all of the effort that goes into planning your wedding, you’ve only got one shot at it. No repeats! That’s why it’s important to invest in a videographer that you’re certain can go above and beyond your expectations. After your wedding day has come and gone, a great wedding video will allow you to relive the experience time and time again.
