Emma & Rhase

Vendors

Where do I start with this incredible wedding at the stunning Mona Farm in Braidwood. It was my first time visiting the venue for Emma and Rhase’s wedding and boy did it not disappoint. After hearing a lot of good things about the place from other vendors, I went in with pretty high expectations, only for them to be well and truly beaten. Literally every direction I pointed my camera I was caught with something interesting to shoot, different colours, new angles, natural, architectural, this place has it all! The boys got ready at The Old Stables, one of the oldest buildings at Mona Farm, but it looks far from it! Having been converted to luxury accommodation, it set the perfect back drop for the guys having a couple of beers while they suited up for the big day.

Emma and the girls got ready at The Homestead, with beautiful high ceilings and funky art all over the walls. With lots of huge windows for natural light to come spilling in, I was in video heaven. I also new I was in for a special ceremony as Allegra from Married by Allegra entered the room to give the girls a last minute pep talk. Emma and Rhase got married just outside The Homestead on the vibrant, lush green lawns that are kept nice and tidy by little robotic lawn mowers that were zooming around the grounds! Don’t worry they weren’t anywhere near us during the ceremony. Allegra killed it as usual with her upbeat and hilarious nature keeping the vibes high. The couple celebrated not only with a kiss but an epic lean back into the confetti canons which made for a great shot.

Cocktails were up next on the upper lawn, the couple had very much let us know that they wanted plenty of time to hang with there guests, so we did just that! Fernando from Animal Ventura was keeping everyone entertained with some awesome acoustic live music. These guys came all the way down from Byron Bay because Emma loved them so much. I was even lucky enough to use one of Fernando’s songs in the video, its the first track! After a few drinks and some games on the lawn, me and the photographer took the bridal party off for some photos. These guys new EXACTLY how to pop a champagne bottle! So much so that we ended up doing 3 or 4!

With so many places for photos, I was almost overwhelmed with the choice. The beautiful winding paths were like a mystical forest, leading to a tennis court that had fences perfectly covered in vines. I’d happily be the in house wedding videographer for Mona Farm every week I was that impressed with the ground! After a bit more fun with the crew, we had a bit of quite time with just Emma & Rhase to get some more romantic shots. As mentioned, we wanted the couple back with their guests so before long we jumped in a buggy driven by the staff and got to the reception venue (across the stunning stone bridge of course!). These guys had an absolute killer day and I am so stoked to have captured it all in the video above. I hope to be back at Mona Farm soon!
